Description
Ten sticks of white copal on vegetable charcoal, made in Mexico City. “Maya” does not reduce copal to a single civilization: copal burned in temples and ceremonies among the Maya just as it did among the Mexica, Mixtec, and Zapotec peoples, a tradition shared by several peoples, not exclusive to one alone.
A compact package, designed for those just incorporating copal into their daily routine or personal practice and wanting a manageable presentation to start with.
Packaging: Package with 10 sticks, made in Mexico City. Vegetable charcoal stick covered in white copal and resin. Safe use: light the tip for a few seconds and extinguish the flame immediately, blowing gently, so it remains as an ember. Place it in a perforated stick holder that catches the ash as the ember advances along the stick, in a ventilated space, away from curtains, paper, or anything flammable, and out of reach of children and pets. Do not leave it unattended while it smolders.
Copal accompanies ritual and tradition; it does not substitute for medical or psychological care.
